Mount Kanchenjunga

Mount Kanchenjunga 8,586 m (28,169 ft) is the third-highest mountain in the world located in the eastern Himalayas, on the border of Nepal and Sikkim, India. The mountain is revered by locals as a sacred peak, and its name means “The Five Treasures of Snows” which refers to its five peaks. The first person to climb Mount Kanchenjunga was George Band, a British mountaineer, on May 25th, 1955.
